HAVE TO SAY ABOUT SUSFC

  • I am writing to offer my endorsement of the Sydney University Soccer Football Club (SUSFC) as an ideal partner for potential sponsors seeking to align themselves with excellence in sports and education.

Having experienced first-hand the profound impact of SUSFC's programs and support systems, I can confidently attest to the club's unwavering commitment to fostering both athletic prowess and academic success among its members.

SUSFC played a pivotal role in shaping my journey to where I am today as a proud representative of the Matildas and a player for Everton FC. The foundation laid by SUSFC through its high-quality coaching, access to top-tier facilities, and comprehensive academic support was instrumental in my development as a player and as an individual. The club's emphasis on holistic player development provided me with the skills, mindset, and opportunities necessary to succeed at the highest levels of the sport.

Furthermore, SUSFC's partnerships with esteemed institutions such as Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness and St Andrews College demonstrate its commitment to providing athletes with unparalleled opportunities for growth and success, both academically and professionally.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Sydney University Soccer Football Club as an exceptional investment opportunity for potential sponsors seeking to make a meaningful impact in the world of sports and education.

    Sincerely

    Clare Wheeler

  • Under my tenure as football coach for Sydney University Soccer Football Club we profoundly transformed, elevated and professionalised the club instilling a winning mindset into all involved.

The continued commitment to nurturing talent is evident in the remarkable number of players and coaches who have ascended to national teams, professional league and community clubs.

More impressively, the club’s dedication to education has provided these athletes with exceptional academic and career pathways, setting a new standard in integrating sports wth educational excellence.

I m very proud to have completed my Masters Degree through Sydney University. Undoubtedly the most successful club in the country for both sport and education.

  • Sydney University Soccer Football Club has always been a powerhouse in the NSW Women’s NPL, not just on the pitch, but off it as well.

I was lucky enough to have coached at SUSFC for eight seasons, starting in 2016 with the U10 Girls GSAP and ending in 2023 with the Women’s 1st grade Team. And if it hadn’t have been for the opportunity of a Head Coach role in the A-League, I would still be with SUSFC today.

SUSFC has supported me through a number of coaching licenses, countless hours on the pitch as well as providing me with opportunities of furthering my coaching career. Ultimately providing me with the tools to succeed as a professional coach.

SUSFC is built around a culture of family, respect, hard work and winning!

The success the Club has produced includes 5 Premierships, 3 Championships as well as 5 Club Championships. The Club’s dominance doesn’t end there. We have had 11 Matildas over the years bearing the Club’s blue and gold.

SUSFC has always placed a high value on education, supporting students through their academic journey through scholarships and other academic assistance.

  • SUSFC - a Club that felt more like home than anything. It’s a Club that has and will always aim to provide the best opportunities for their players both on an off the field.

From top class coaches and quality facilities, this Club has hit the ground running every year in every competition. Programs are well structured and aligned, starting from SAP and leading into 1st Grade in order to meet all of the players, staff and coaches expectations.

I’m very grateful to have played a role in such a successful era for SUSFC. From Premierships to Championships and Club Championships - we had it all and the Club has consistently supported each of my career dreams along the way.

My professional journey began in 2020 with A-League Club Canberra United, and it’s been an incredible journey ever since; leading me to a successful season wth Central Coast Mariners in 2023/24. Despite the demands of professional football, I also successfully completed my Physiotherapy degree at Sydney University.

Through my involvement with SUSFC, I’ve been able to build valuable connections that have opened the doors to internships and employment opportunities in my field. Balancing football, study and career aspirations has ben challenging, yet incredibly rewarding!

I began my chapter with SUSFC at 14 years old and I’ve experienced all of the highs and low of football. When I look back, I am thankful for the way in which this Club shaped me, not only as a player, but as a person as well.

I am very excited, not only to see how far this great Club can grow, but also to embrace the next lot of superstars that will shine in blue and gold in the years to come.

  • My name is Holly Caspers and I currently play for the Western Sydney Wanderers in the A League Women’s.

Sydney University Soccer Football club has been a key driver in my success as a football player. The staff and the coaches run such a fantastic program, from the seniors all the way down to the Girls SAP (U10-U13).

The success of the football club because of their program, has allowed Sydney Uni to become the premier football club for women in NSW, Winning Club Championship in the top tier of football in NSW for 5-years straight between 2018-2022.

We have won the women’s University Nationals title for the last ten years straight and our last 3 head women’s coaches Heather Garriock, Alex Epakis and Emily Husband have moved onto A-League women’s clubs as coaches. A very powerful endorsement of the program. It is this strong development program and the knowledge of the coaches that allowed me to play my natural game and reach new heights every year and was a key driver in my first A League contract in 2021.
